Make sure you get the correct one for your tank, one is designed for glass and one for acrylic.

Yes, they work very well

Stronger magnets. Bigger tanks have thicker glass/acrilic walls.

I accidentally put the one from my 150 gallon tank on my little 20 gallon QT. Haha!
Stuck like glue!! Apparently the magnet was a little to strong for that thin glass.

Also, get the floating type; otherwise if you lose the magnetic connection you will be fishing for the other half. The floaters will do just that if the connection is lost. Just easier that's all.

Magfloat
's are the floating kind.

But I'm with everyone here, I use 2 different ones on my tank; one for the back (yes, I'm one of the few who likes a clean back) and one for the front/side glass panes. I also have the tiny one on my frag tank.

Also watch if you have sand. If you get the magnet down in the sand, it will pick of particles and scratch you glass. Seperate the two, grab the inside one when it floats to top and clean before using after you make contact with sand. Otherwise, they are awesome!

I have a Nimble. It is great for those areas that the Magfloat is too large for. And even though it is small, Jerome uses rare earth magnets so they are strooooong!!
