They work "pretty good", they come in three sizes depending on your glass "thickness" (strength of magnet)
Get the next size up from what they recommend for your tank...
Work well on "light" green and brown build up but not on coraline or calcium build up...

If yer REALLY lazy, get yerself a clean up crew. They'll clean for you, no prob. That, and an Algae Blenny. They eat the stuff, that;s their food. Then, if you feel that the job aint good enough, you could get a mag float. But they will keep ya good. If you get one snail for every gallon of water, and a bunch of hermit crabs and a blenny, they will not only eat yer algae, but lower yer detritus levels which will in turn lower yer algae levels. Sweet deal, eh?

i like the mag float, it works well for me. but as mentioned, it doesnt do anyting to the coraline. but for that general film, its perfect!

The clean up crew won't take care of the glass. That is what the magfloat is for. I love my mag float.

that credit card trick works great on the coraline. we just did it and i didnt think it was gonna come out as well as it did :yes:

They work great but as Cindy say's were it can't get behind thing's nothing beats a credit card..I use a credit card I'm trying to get my balance down on..
