Magnesium

Does anyone check their magnesium level? Is it necessary to check it or do water changes keep it in balance? I use Reef Crystals for my mix.

A large amount of people check their magnesium regularly. When keeping corals, it is a very important element to know and check. What kind of tank are you keeping?

Hi Spanko, What kind of skimmer are you using? And where do you have it placed? I have a 29 BioCube abd would like to look into a skimmer. Thanks

I have a Sapphire Aquatics BC29 skimmer. It is in the middle chamber where the bio-balls go. If you go that route and you still have the bio-balls back there, take them out slowly over the course of about 3 weeks. Other wise you stand to start another cycle.
