magnificant foxface doing poorly suddenly?

Okay-I have a reef tank with several corals but only a few fish. I have a very hardy older clown which I got with the purchase of my tank. I have had the tank since November, I have added some coral ever few weeks. I added a Magnificant Foxface in the first week of January. He took a few weeks to acclimate and eat but everything, books, lfs, and etc. said that that would happen. He has been doing very well since then.
Monday night I added 4 small frags to the tank as well as a small royal gramma. The royal gramma is smaller than the other two fish, he has pretty much stayed hidden but seems fine. Last night, 24 hours after the additions, the foxface began sitting on the ground. His respitory actions seem harder than normal but everything else looks the same. The water conditions are the same also with a increase back to 8.4 from 8.0. I did do a small water change on Monday due to a sudden drop in Ph(8.4 to 8.0), but conditions were the same for the water when added with a little higher Ph.
Nitrite=0
Nitrate=20
Ammonia=0
Salinity=1.022
Ph=8.4
Any thoughts of what has happened to him? Any suggestions on what to do to help him...
I have a sick tank but I am worried if I move him it will finish him from stress if not the respitory?

Try to lower your nitrates a little and raise you salinity to 1.025. Were the frags you added attacked to rocks? Hard surfaces can carry things like ick into a tank. Are there any white spots developing on the foxface? What do you feed it?

Unfortunately, my sweet fish died early tonight. I have no idea what happened. There were no markings, white or any kind on him. The only thing that was different was that his respitory actions were really hard. I fed him some flake and frozen mysis shrimp. I alternated them every other day. The frags are attached to rocks but I don't see any markings on them. I am really worried about my other fish,anemone, and corals...
