When doing a water change for every 5 gallon pail of water how much 8 oz cups of salt do I add to keep the salinity at the same level?

its never really the same
It would be better if you used a different 5 gal bucket mixed salt in and measurede it from there. It is alot safer and will keep your fish happier
when you just dump salt in the tank it dosent always disolve so play it safe

Just read the directions on the salt package. Some salts are different. Once you think you have it right, mix it for 24 hours and test it before you add it to your tank.

Always test and retest it in a bucket before you dump it into your tank, otherwise, you will have some stressed out fish.

I know I need to disolve it before adding it. What I did was change water some water, and as I was adding water I was discolving salt and adding that as well. I use coralife sea salt. Anyone know the math formula to at least keep it very close?

I do gallon by gallon, 1/2 of salt per gallon gives me 1.024.
I've asked about a formula before and didn't get one. I wanted to keep my sg higher and needed to know how much salt to add.
read the bag of salt, adj from there.
