just wanted to know how everyone takes care of there aquariums like
How often do you change or check or replace thing in your aquariums
water
lights
water levels
parts
chemicals you but in your water
everything lol
 
I have a 175 gallon with a 105 gallon refugium:
water - 10% every 2 weeks
lights - Metal Halides with 96W actinics - on 9am off 12pm, on 5pm off 9pm
Moon Lights - on whenever main lights are off
water levels - PH: 8.3, ALK: 7, Cal: 450, Mag:1350, Nitrate: 0, Nitrite: 0, Ammonia: 0
parts: Deltec 509 fluidizer with carbon connected to a 2 little fishies fluidizer with carbon. 2 little fishies acts as a second stage carbon filter. EuroReef RS180, Zeovit reactor, OceanRunner 6500 return pump, CoralLife 2X250W MH, 2X96W Actinics with 4 moon LEDS
chemicals you but in your water: calcium, trace elements, magnesium, strontium, pottassium, complete zeovit system

water top off 1/2 gallon every few days. Do 10-15% change every few weeks.
lights clean whenever I do a water change
water levels monitor every other day (I have open tops)
parts ? I clean and replace filter medium and rinse bioballs every few weeks. I change filter floss once a week.
chemicals you but in your water Water changes!
everything lol

I have a 80 gal with a 20 gal refugium
i do daily topoff with a kalkwasser drip
10 gal water changes a week
blow the rockwork off with a turkey baster during water changes
2x a week wipe the front of tank with magnet
every 2 weeks or more i scarpe the front of glass
every 3 days replace filter sock
once a week change media in phosphate reactor
once a month clean all PH and pumps
once a month clean the HOB overflow box
every 2 weeks i prune the macro alage in refugium
i feed the fish every other day
corals get feed 1-2 a week
every 6-8 month change bulbs
It may seem like alot but it's all fun

I have 3 tank but I'll give you the lay out for just one...75gal. mixed reef tank. 30gal. sump fluval 305 canister (runs carbon & phosguard) and skimmer clean skimmer cup as needed 10% water change weekly in sump clean bio balls clean drip pan pads. For canister change carbon & phosphate sock and filter pads biweekly. I just started a kalk drip 24/7 water levels - PH: 8.2, ALK: 7, Cal: 430, Mag:1250, Nitrate: 10ppm, Nitrite: 0, Ammonia: 0 change lights bulbs every 6months 4x65w T5's 2x 10,000k 2x 50/50 2x54w T5's18,000k 1x 28w 460nm blue actinic. By time I finsh all 3 tanks it's time to start all over again. It's the price we pay for what we love...Hope this helps.

15gallon Tunze cube (40x40x35cm) & 20long FOWLR (too simple/boring to describe lol)water: IO SW with RO/DI for topoff, top off 4oz twice a day (hooking up ATO tomorrow most likely)
lights:
150w MH pendant over my 15gallon cube, phoenix 14,000k, 10hours on/14 off; turf scrubber light is 26w CFL spiral 6500k 18on/6 off(off in the middle of MH on period.)
water levels:
pH 8.3, NH4-PO4=0, 80-82F, alk 14dKH, calcium 480ppm, mag 1400ppm
parts:
koralia nano (going to add another,) rio 10HF return pump, turf scrubber, 50w stealth heater, glass holes super nano 1inch overflow, 1/2inch return with locline wye and flared ends. NO SKIMMER.
additives:
chemipure, rowaphos in a bag, HW calcium marin&seachem reef builder added every 48hrs, kent essential elements, kent coral vite, kent tech M, kent strontium, Kent Fe. Will be hooking up 2 dosing pumps for randy's 2 part within the week.
etc.:
Feeding reef roids, PE&hikari mysis, DT phyto. 2 gallon water change weekly. sps dominated mixed reef. Only have a yellow assessor basslet for fish in there so far, cocoworm, 4 astreas, 1 mexican turbo, 2 nerites, 4 nassarius snails, 1 tongan fighting conch for CUC. 25lbs of rock (20 in display, 5 in sump.)

wow it sounds like a second job to some ofu guys but i would imagen its the best job lol
i wanted to know were do you get your Maintness parts foods ect. online or your Local FS
