When I try to pluck them out with tweezers they retract
Will the Aiptasia X work? And do you know if they're as much of a nuisance as Aiptasias are?

+1 on killing with the same stuff...but mine had stalks like xenia and can move around...when I first got into saltwater I thought these guys were good (pre SWF.com) and tried to keep them.
I accidently bumped one and it came off...I could pluck them with my fingers, not tweezers, and the bottom would actually suck until it found a rock to reattach itself to. I admit I wasn't trying to get them off until they were a good size. Aiptasia no matter how large, completely withdraws into a rock.

They never seem to act like appies at first... slow growers, then sometimes BOOM! You are loaded with them. I saw a tank that had nothing but 1000s and 1000s of these guys.
