Well, at the beginning of March one of the green chromis got sucked down into the sump and met its maker. Since then we added 4 green chromis (6 total now). Also, there is a false percula clownfish that was added at the beginning of May. All are doing excellent.
I've been curing aragocrete rock which I made at the end of March. It will be ready to be put in the tank in 2 more weeks. After this we look to get a banana wrasse.

Things are going very well. Right now there are 5 green chromis, a false percula clownfish, emerald crab, cleaner shrimp, a few hermits, and some snails in the display tank. I am in my third week quarentining a blue hippo tang and a threadfin butterfly. The tang showed a few spots of ick after 3 days but hypo quickly took care of that. Both fish are eating extremely well and I will begin raising the salinity in about 1 week. The threadfin is still recovering from lymphocytosis (spelling?) but that should be overwith about the time I'm ready to put them in the display tank.
I did a 100% sand change about a month and a half ago. The original sand I used was from Home Depot. As the tank aged, the sand started turning dark brown and black in places. Now, having removed and replaced it with Oldcastle sand, things look much better.
I am continuing to make aragocrete rock and am putting it in the tank as I go. The next thing we plan on getting are some nassarius and cerith snails to help turn over the sand bed.
I will try to put up a few pictures in the near future.

Do you have pics of your plumbing to teh basement?
I added a 75 gal sump/fuge to my 110gal reef about 3 months ago and love it. I wish I would have seen your post because Squidd and I have the whole thing laid out. Here are a couple of old pics of the plumbing. I am using a mag18 for the return. I did have a mag24 but it was too much.

If you are thinking of Iwaki for the pump, you may want to look at panworld. they are a bit less expensive and every bit as good.
