ok had a 110 as most of you know didnt realize how happy i should have been with that tank till i look at pictures know....wontede to go bigger with 240 size was nice,then downsized to 180 witch i really like being back to glass,but tank looks so daul know its driving me nuts

110 high i was happy here : )

then went to the 240 for like a month started leeking : (

know at 180 starting to get happy again : 0 cant get any good pictures because of camera being ran over buy golf cart camera took al of these pictures...

that stand and canopy was so pimp ya know

You said you liked being back to glass. Was your 240 acrylic? What do you like differnt about glass that you didn't like with acrylic?

glass doesnt scratch as easy. I think.
the 110 looked cramped to me. I like the 240, but its not good to have leaks.
I wish i could just afford a 240 in the first place.

i would find a way to fix leak and go tback to the 240, thats just me. i want to go huge when i graduate from college

did have it fixed it only lasted a month and started leeking again : ( just wasnt worth it all the mess and i only lost two feet still 2 feet wide by 2 feet high and 6 feet long just have to have my hubby builld me a new one he had made the last stand and canopy
and i like the glass better its more clear then the acrylic the tank i had was one somemadedidnt have alot of clearity

As long as the an acrylic tank is not srcatched it is more clear then any glass tank. I have an acrylic and I love it. I have very few scratches (when I went brain dead and didn't pay attention). But, show me an acrylic without scratches. You need to weigh whether you want safety with piece of mind (acrylic) or never scratched, and sometimes being really carefull with rock so as not to break it, and leaks (glass).
The only downside to acrylic is it scrathes easier then glass, so I would rather have a tank that scratches then a tank that can break.

Well, all I can say is glass will still scratch, even if you are careful. I have a big beautiful scratch right in front, I'm assuming from when I was doing my rock work, I really don't know. But it's a scratch. My tank is 125 gallons, so it's there to stay.

I do have a small freshwater acrylic tank, and I can say it's very clear, and no scratches either

It also doesn't have the distortion my glass tank does.

You scratched that nice pretty new tank....NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!!
Most scratches in acrylic disappear underwater...drain one and you can see every little imperfection...with water you cant see them as much.
