Makeshift heaters (Please Help!)

Hi everyone! I really need help on how to make a makeshift heater for my aquarium. It contains tropical fish but the heaters here are really expensive and i would rather make my own. My aquarium has 20 litresof water. Please please help! Thanks.

I really dont know how to make a heater. They really arent that costly. I would think it would cost more tring to figure it out that it would be to buy one.

last time i checked..... heaters are pretty cheap.

no offense or anything but if you cant afford a heater (which runs about 15$), this may not be the hobby for you.
also i would be very worried about frying your tank with a "makeshift" heater.

A heater is probably the cheapest piece of equipment in our tanks. If you cant afford to buy one you are, unfortunately, getting into the wrong hobby.
