making a fuge????

Hey hobbysts,
Im looking into maybe making a little fuge to put algae in for my 20 gallon to help reduce the nitrates in my tank.What should I make it out of and what are the steps to do one,and what kind of algae?My trates are at .5-.10 ppm.

I want to make my aquaclear 50 filter into a mini refuge for my 20 gallon and run heavy skimming.
what are the steps and what should I consider buying?
will a mini fuge and heavy skimming and a powerhead be enough filtration for my 20g?
what kind of algae for nitrate to consider buying to put in my filter?

10 gal tank, Plexy glass to make baffels on the sides. Silicone them, and a return pump

IMO with what i learned on this site is not to go the cheap way out on the long run it will cost you more just my mo

Yes I know but I also did research on the site and seen people having success with the mod im trying to do
