Making Live Rock

I just started another batch of Created rock last night. Now that I know about the Rock salt I may just try that. That seems like a much better Idea. I am just using CC right now and the Portland, and I was wondering about the Porousness. If that is a word. I'm gonna have to try that.
1 thing that I am doing Is I am making Connectors for all the rock. I found that If you go to your LHS you can get these plastic Dead bolt inserts (for where the dead bolt slides in to the Hole of your door) Well I got 2. 1 I fill up with cement. The other I fill the cement around the Mold. Seems to work well. The Rocks will all lock together. And the Limited space means that you get a nice snug fit and the Queen Conch cant move the rocks.

that sounds like a good idea, but I'm having trouble picturing it in my mind. Can you post a photo?

Some of those pieces look like they set in the corner of a rubbermaid bin. I'm setting mine in a large tub of sand to prevent straight edges, using the sand as a mold of sorts.
