Making one last fish decision!

I have a 30 gallon tank with a 20 gallon sump that is in the process of becoming a reef, so findng a reefsafe fish that is docile and will be nice to my other fish, won't get hazed, won't eat corals, and will suit my likings is a near impossibitlity. Right now I have 2 occelaris clownfish, a orange spot goby, a pistol shrimp, a porcelain crab to come, and a feather duster. My tank was first set up in April. I like very boldly colored fish, it doesn't have to be more than one color though. I like angels, but I don't know if that is such a wise choice. I was thinking like a sixline wrasse, a cherub angel, or a yellow pygmy angel. I don't know though, what are some other good ones you guys have and what do you recommend?

how about a Royal Gramma (yellow & purple), firefish goby (white, deep red, some yellow and ecen green), or a banggai cardinal (bold black and white)? I dont know about the sixline, but as far a dwarf angels, the VERY minimum is 30 gallons so while your tank is acceptable, its not the best for angels

i would go with one of the fairy wrasses. i have a whipfin fairy. he's very colorful and always out. much more interesting than a 6 line. there are many reef safe wrasses that you can add that are very colorful.
those royal gramma's can be a bit territorial.

I like the royal gramma, but I want something that won't try and hide all the time. I'll have to research the fairy wrasses. They are beautiful. Thanks X. I'll update when I make a decision.

I'm gonna shop around a bit more because I am not going to be getting this fish any time soon, but lets just say I started looking at pictures of longfin fairy wrasses and as disgusting as it sounds, I started drooling. One of the best suggestions I've had. Thanks.

the gramma and pseudochromis and the like can be mean in a smaller tank. we had a purple pseudo in a 30 cube and he attacked everything- even the shrimp.

I wouldn't get a six line, there are way too many better looking wrasses around.
Another option is a Dragon faced pipefish or a Mandarin, both very docile and oblivious to anything else in the tank.
Not the prettiest of pipefish, but by far the hardiest and best for any type of reef tank with flow.

I love my sixline, he is very colorful. Stay away from the pygmy angels. I got a cherub and she picked at my corals.

Lots of good choices. But for me in a 30 I think the Purple Fire would be a good choice...... I have had mine over a year. Great little fish

I didn't realize how many possibilities I had. I like purple firefish, but it is going to be hard to steer me away from longfin fairy wrasses.

I love cherubs, but I don't want to take that risk. Thanks for the advice.
