Its some of the CC I took out earlier. It helps seed the sand with beneficial bacteria ( at least thats the way I understood it) It is in an old pair of nylons.

I hope those nylons weren't washed in soapy water or worn! That may create a problem if it hasn't already.

How do you like your tank with the open sides all around? I moved my tank and I am thinking about taking the paint off the back. The thing I am worried about is not being able to see the fish that well.

Scotts, I like my tank a lot better with the sides open. It makes it seem so much bigger, and its cool to be able to watch it while eating also. I have no prob seeing the fish and other creatures. Plus it makes the water look clearer.
