No progress yet. My fish guy came and looked at it, and was still willing give it a go with the removal kit, at who knows how many hours of labor. We decided instead to call around and see if someone in the acrylic industry has a better idea. This is a pretty big surface area, and I just feel so out of my league. Considering the cost of a tank like this (even if I didn't pay for it) I'm scared of damaging it more. I haven't made the calls yet, though. I'm really good at blocking out unpleasant things. If the scratches are going to cost me hundreds of dollars to get rid of, then maybe I just won't look at them for a while! I need to come up with enough disposable income for a chiller that can take 250 gallons down 10 degrees, before summer, so I might invest that way first.
