Mandarin Goby,what about these foods?

Since, I haven't had luck w/any fish from any of my local lfs'..I swore all fish off,but I have always been wild about mandarins so I waited about four months (fishless) and saw tons of pods.Needless to say I bought one from this site and it has been about 2-3 weeks..I began to worry about him running out of pods so I asked my lfs and he sent me home w/1 bag of each:
live brine shrimp(which he said would last in the fridge for 4 days)
live ghost shrimp (which I was told to put in right away & now can't find,crossing my fingers he ate them))
and Black worms (which I was told to rinse off and that they would hold in the fridge for weeks)
So, my ?? is Do these directions sound correct & have any of you used any of these food sources w/success for mandarins?
I just can't picture him eating those nasty,long,worms but I do think I saw him munching on the brine(wishful thinking?)
Sorry for rambling but I really don't want to lose him.Thanks!

i dont know about those other things, but brine shrimp (frozen or live) seem to be the other thing they "might eat" other than pods

i have herd that they will eat brine shrimp i dont know that they will eat ghost shrimp they probably went down the overflow not sure about the worms ether i had one and he would eat shrimp pellets

I have had success with all three in the past...my current mandarin won't eat any of them unfortunately.

My mandarin will only eat pods, of course, and baby brine that we hatch ourselves from a cheap kit we bought at the lfs. We tried bringing some live brine home from the lfs but they were too big and the mandarin wouldn't eat them. We tun off the filter for a couple hours and just run the powerheads to sweep them around and on to the rocks when we feed the baby brine. If you do start hatching brine be sure and strain them before feeding because the water they are in is high in nitrates. We use a coffee filter. Feed within 24 hours of hatching or there is not much nutrition in them. HTH
