I have a fuge with cheato and I was wondering if Mangrove sprouts are a good addition or if the cheato is good enough.
Is there any bad side to mangroves.
Chaeto is much better hands down, not even close IMO. Mangroves grow too slowly to see any significant effect on water quality. You also must spray them with fresh water each day if you want them to live.
I agree with hurt though they are a source of nutrient export they are slow growers and require a lot of maintinence, youalso have to make sure the leaves arent falling back into the tank and rotting returning everything they have consumed.
