Mangroves

Wondering if anyone has used these for nitrate control. I have done research but have had contradicting reports. Some websites say to use 1 for every 10 gal. others say too only use a couple.
I have also read that they aren't good at all because they are so slow growing and don't work that well. So what are your thoughts.

I did the research also a few months ago also. It seems that most of the articles I could find basically said that they were very hard to be sucessful with and showed little direct results.
I decided not to bother. Sorry that doesn't help much. Where did you find your info??

On the internet but can't remember which sites. The online shop here in West Aus. sells them and has an article. Its www.oceanarium.com.au.
