Mantis home input needed

Hello. Been awhile since I've been online and around here.... Been drawing up ideas for a mantis shrimp homestead. Here's a pic to show what I've came up with so far. Tank is 36"x16"x16". Shell will be 3/8" acrylic and baffles being 1/4". The trough from display to fuge is for filter sponge. Return pump and heat are going behind fuge. Planning for macro in fuge for nutrient export so not planning for skimmer. Going to drill through the baffle and bury the return line and bring it to just above the DSB with elbows.

Definitely like the idea, but material thickness is very questionable IMO......1/2" material would be a better choice

Looking at the pic kinda confused.....Your planning to have the DT drain into the fuge and then into the sump/return area.....Or are you feeding the return area and the fuge area simultaneously........
