Mantis Pic

Here is my new mantis shrimp , I have had him for about 3 weeks. The one I had before died, and I still do not know why. Very irratating. This is a guy who came in on some live rock at work, I snagged him and took him home
You can see how small he is by looking at the pens next to the tank for scale. I also have not figured out what kind he is , but I am pretty sure he is a smasher. He is green with red markings. His legs are an orange/red. I had to hurry to get this pic as he tends to bolt under the rocks if he is spooked.

It is sold to us as base rock. I am guessing it is florida.

Did you build a home for him. I'm not sure but I think a lot of people use pvc tubing!

No he built his own. He found a hole in one of the peices of live rock and been happy since. When he gets a little bigger I will create a cave for him.
