mantis shrimp + angler

anyone ever tried this or know anyone who has tried this? or know of this is a bad idea?
it hink it would be a nice pair. of course they would have to be the right sizes (mantis bigger then the angler)
 
I think your underestimating the mantis. With a tank mate that barely even moves the Mantis is more then likely to get it. I don't think the size would make that much of a diference. Mantis shrimp have been know to kill six inch clown triggers, so an agler should be easy.

The peacock I just gave up was in a 92 gallon tank with a volitans lion and a blackspotted puffer. Never once made an aggressive move towards them, nor did they towards him. He didn't care for the glass much at the end though. Who knows. Maybe it would work, maybe not. There are no absolutes when it comes to compatability.

yes, Innsmouth i know of your pairing and that there were no problems with it. thats why this idea came to me and fact that it might work. and you are right there is only one way to find out. i dont have my tank yet so i owuldnt even be able to try this out for at least 3 months... but if i do, i will of course be careful and in any case post my results here.
