I pulled out 20lbs of live rock out of my DT this weekend and put it in a rubbermaid tub, when I went to check it out today I found a red shrimp at the bottom of the tub with large claws on it. Is this a Mantis?? and i believe that they are bad, correct???
Any pictures or help would be appreciated

I don't think you'd find the mantis shrimp crawling around on the bottom. From what i've read, about the only way to get them out of the rock is to provide them with food that it will come out for, or submerse the rock in very saline water (the high salinity drives the shrimp out). They can be red or green. They have a pretty distinctive head if you've ever seen a pic.
here are a couple of links with good pics:

NorCal,
I have a small species tank I am looking to put a Mantis in.
If you happen to get a pic and might be interested in shipping it let me know. I may be able to take it off your hands. I would pay for the shipping of course.
