Nice mantis! How was it keeping one? Was it a real pain. I see that he is in an acrylic, was he able to damage that at all? How did you feed him? Was it worth all the hassle. Seems like a very interesting and colorful pet, but I have heard that it is rarely worth all the havoc that he causes.
Oh, and what station do you talk on? You a conservative or liberal :p

waterdog,
Mantis are EASY to take care of. I had mine in a 5g Eclipse Hex 5. He hate everything from crayfish to shrimp. He didn't need live food, though it was fun to see him "hunt" when he had the opportunity.
He was unable to damage the acrylic. Maybe had he been in glass, but I doubt I would have had a problem with glass, either.
For water changes, I made sure never to put my hand in the tank....
They are super cool and very active--and not too expensive. I'd recommend them to anyone who has a taste for the "odd" SW pet.
The greener you get them, the longer they'll live (they say about 5 years). Mine was brown, meaning he was close to his last molt.
I work on WIBA. Usually conservative, on occasions socially liberal.

Hey sid,
The pics that people are posting are of Peacock mantis shrimp. From what I understand they are usually not the hitchhickers that come in on live rock. These can be bought specially. In fact I think I saw them on sale on the Saltwaterfish.com U-Bulid It page. $49.99 if I am not mistaken.
Polarpooch,
Thanks for the info, very informative. Now I want one :( Oh well, maybe later, when I have less than 5 million things going on at the same time.
