19 fish, even in 250gal. is grossly overstocked...that's just rediculous, IMO. You say your levels are perfect...what does "perfect" mean? What are the specific parameters.
Your tank is only 14" deep. Why on earth would you ever keep 10"+ fish in something like that?
You're wasting money by running out and purchasing another fish the day after another just died. Not only that but the fish died for no reason...you're wasting the lives of the fish too.

yeah i hear ya on the show but il call the pet store and see if they ship when i get home tonight the marine online store has four diff ones to buy starting at 250.

I was waiting for some one to say this. And 3 puffers. That is a lot of food scraps in the tank. I'd stop b4 u crash the system.

This system has been running like this for 2 years now. Total fish died to date is about 7. Which includes 3 yellow tangs. So overall 7 lost fish in 2 years is not bad.
I think there was something wrong with the mappa to die in 3 short days. My tank levels did not kill him, other fish did not kill him, he never ate in those 3 days. It is a mystery to me what is the cause of death.
Here is why I am getting another fish. This guy wont give me my money back. He said if I get a fish from him soon then he will sell it at cost. So not like I want to run out ASAP, but just trying to get something out of my big loss. He has a 9in Hawaiian Golden Puffer that he is selling to me at cost and looks very bright yellow. I was down there today to check him out, and will go back down on Sat to pick him up.
Once my 1000 gallon new tank is done then these 19 fish will not seem like much in a tank that is 4 times larger in size.
I also keep 200 gallons of water on hand to do water changes to help keep my levels down. I will take some pics tomorrow of the tank. Even with 19 fish it does not seem like alot by looking at it, but I do know it is maxed out.

Yeah first fish that I had pass in such a short time. At least I am getting a Golden Puffer from the deal. Not for free but better then a total loss.

I just got one last week, He is fantastic. The first thing I noticed is he is an eater! I went to the trouble to try everything. He loves pieces of scallops one day and silver sides the next. He seems to love to hand out with my Mandarin . I hope yours eats soon. They are very unique and personable. he follows my hand up and down the glass. I don't have a mappa but i just purchased a small 3inch Stellatus, and i think he is soo cool. i only pad $54 for him, so i think i gott a pretty good deal. So far he looks healthy and is eating everything from frozen brine shrim to frozen krill, but his back tail is always curled around him or to the side, is that normal for these types of puffrers..and if not whats wrong with him??? Do u think he'll pose any problems for my small snowflake eel. right now the snowflake is about 6inches long but he's not thick yet

I recommend not feeding the puffer brine shrimp. Instead feed it meatier, healthier foods like raw shrimp, squid, silversides, clams. Even krill is not all that great. Your fish will only be as healthy as the food it eats.
