Yep. Trade it back in to the LFS, sell it locally, on craigslist, or just give it away to someone. Why don't you want it anymore?

Your best bet is to find a local reefer who has a large tank and give it to them. It's a mappa puffer, so I don't think you will have a hard time finding it a new home.

i have soft coarl and hes starting to eat it. I bought him cuz i got a great deal on him, in hopes i would be a lucky guy who got a calm one. I am thinking of about keeping him still cuz hes so awesome and just moving the coral into a nano or something. Anyone good any input? email me, serrano90650@msn.com

I've never seen a puffer that won't eat coral. I've had 2 different ones and they both just loved to munch on any coral I was crazy enough to try to put in the tank. They're great fish but far from reef safe.

ya, i seem to have embarked on the same kind of gamble. He isnt so bad, but he is eating some up. Been learning everything somewhat the hard way, but have def learned and am having a lot more success.

I have a burrfish, simular to a puffer, but WAAAYYY cooler. He doesn't get gigantic and has a great personality. He is living in my reef and makes his home in a sponge tree. They are said to be reef safe. There is even a pistol shrimp and some small fish, and he is great as long as he gets his dinner.
I really like him. Try to find one of these, but make sure it is actually a burrfish and not just some old puffer. The resemblance in very close and an LFS will just tell you that it is a porky or some other puffy.
Good luck to you!

I have a dog face and valentini puffer, I have a colony of feather dusters valentini would pick and pick at the feathers took me about 2 days to break him of that, I quess it just depends on the puffer but he no longer picks at them..
