Marble sand

I've been on a quest to find base sand to fill out a deep sand bed for cheaper than $15 for a 30 lb bag. The local hardware stores don't have any aragonite play sand, but I did find a local stone company that sells marble sand. (Iwrin Stone in Rockville and Frederick MD, "white sand", $5 for 80lbs)
Anyone have any thoughts on using marble sand? It is the right size and is 90%+ calcium carbonite. It does have some mica and/or quartz and some potassium feldspar in it. Nothing gets picked up by a magnet and it reacts to vinegar.

i live in maryland and I am also looking for base sand. Today I went to 3 homedepots and they had no agaronite sand.

Bad news on the marble sand... after the vinegar ate through the calcium carbonate, there was a lot of "leftover" stuff there, including some iron. I don't think I'll be using it.
The HD at I95 and Eastern Ave in Baltimore sells Southdown.
I didn't want to go out there, it's an hour plus drive for me, but I think I will have to do it.

I have not been there in about 4 months. I will be near there on Friday. I will check and let everyone know.
