marine snow????

should I use it ?
anybody use it?
what corals could i use it for and any substitutions for it?

Well hello I use marine snow works very good so far you can use it on filter feeding corals.such as colt corals leathers some LPS and mushrooms can be feed brine shrimp other invert foods invert gumbo most mushrooms and polyps you can feed directly with meaty items

reef snow is like the ford of cars. it will get you where you are going (it does do a pretty good job) but its not a porche:) the problem with reef snow is that it isnt really alive. thats why dt's or live phydoplankton (sp?) are typicaly better for the tank.

I used DT's until the LFS discontined it. It's OK, but I found nothing special about it. Certainly not a "porche". After speaking with the owner of the co. out in Ill. I wouldn't use the stuff if you paid me! He was rude and really didn't care that I liked his product, nor that I wanted to continue to use his product. He made no offer to point me in the right direction where to purchase his product. He is only interested in distributors who can buy a ton of the stuff at a time. Not the little guy who buys the junk from the distributor! I have a bottle of Marine Snow I intend to use after I'm done with the DT's (should be this week). So, I'll see - the locals swear by the MS.
