Marineland Emperor 400

Evning everyone
we just switched out today from a mellinium 300 to an Emperor 400 bio wheel filter.
anyone else have this filtration system. any comments

any posts would be greatly appreciated

i had this filter- it rocked
i rocked 2 of them on my 55g freshwater- water was so clear, you could drink it

Right on! within the 18 hours of having it in. the clarity is amazing. dropped the trates a tad too. YIPPIE..... i see ur in Union NJ. i used to live in toms river and worked in south toms river and brick

I got this thing too. Its ok. The best part is running carbon in it. The filters will just produce your nitrates. Someday I hope to get rid of it....

Do you have any problems with microbubbles in the tank as a result of using this filter?
I have one with the dual bio wheels and it releases so much bubbles.

Jst my opinion, but if your tank is established and you just added this filter in place of the other without seeing any spikes in your water, I would remove the bio-wheels and just use it to run carbon. The bio-wheels will just lead to increased nitrates in the future.
