Just got a new gbta, my last one got sucked up into powerhead. Got up this morning and both maroon and ocellaris clown were in it. This was never the case with my last one.

The Maroon Clown will eventually kill your Ocellaris Clownfish. Maroons are the most territorial & aggressive of clownfish species. Not a good idea to mix clownfish species in a single tank regardless of tank size.

It doesn't matter how long they've been together in your tank. The maroon WILL eventually kill your other clownfish. If you don't believe me, well, you'll just have to see for yourself on what will happen.
I'm not trying to be sarcastic or rude, but simply telling you the facts that mixing clowns to a tank is not wise.

Ok so mabye a rare case they would get along. But every other case is they fight to the death. Im just letting him know so that if something was to happen he wouldnt ask why.

I know I'm taking my chances, but they have been together for over a year. This is just the first time they both went into the anenome together. The perc is smaller, didn't really cost alot. I have never seen them chase each other, and I have lost fish that cost 10x's as much as the clown. I'll let you know in a month how progress is going

umm if he wasnt aware of the most possible consequences of this as well as what a rare case it is then i dont think hed be posting it. IMO theyll live like this forever. its a rare case but ive heard of cats and dogs living together, why cant the odd pair of maroon and occeralis clown do it. yes rare, but at the end of the day everyone can be friends lol

Take your cat and dog and put them in a tiny cage and see how they react after a while . We are doing the same thing with fish .

it doesnt mean that it CANNOT happen. just accept the fact that it does happen! science is NOT perfect and right everytime
