My maroon with yellow stripes Clown has got black splotches all over him.
About a week and a half ago..... I had an out break of Red-Slime algea, so I am told.
I did water changes, turned out the lights for about 3 days and knocked all the algea off my LR that I could find.. then took a turkey baster and sucked the remains up.
I manually cleaned the tank getting it looking good again.
My Specific Gravity is 1.024
Nitrates 40
Nitrites 0
Ammonia 0
PH 8.4
I always have a problem with my Nitrates being high.......
When I had the Red-Slime outbreak my Clown really stressed out bad.. breathing hard
gaping for air.... but he settled down when the fresh water was put into the tank..... and all the algea was removed.
It has been almost 2 weeks since the algea outbreak and now these black spots are occuring on him.
Nothing has been added to my tank with the exeption of some turbo snails and they were added one week ago.
here are some pictures to help ...
Thanks to all who reply.
