Just try it...it will be fine...just think positive...You just need to get a Bubble tip that is big enough to where the maroon does not tear it apart or beat it up too bad...if the BTA is too small for it they will tend to be really rough with it because they are frustrated. Make sure your water conditions are pristine though because if that anemone is not happy, then the clown will not be happy either...

Yep...mine hosted within 10 seconds...didnt even let the BTA land on the rock and he was already trying to swim inside of it...
I am sure it has to do with if your maroon was tank raised or wild caught, but I have no idea what mine was...

It took my 2 tank raised "Nemo's" almost 3 months to host my Sebae Anemone. So I think they are born with the instinct

I have 2 ocellaris clownfish, so i know they aren't marroon's BUUTT. i had one for quite awhile before i got the other one. i bought the baby and a carpet anemone and also a bta the same day. as soon as i threw the baby in she went right the the carpet. the older clown cruised around for a few days about a week later i noticed the older one in the carpet with the baby. so i guess the baby showed the older one how to host. the bta is still to be touched by another fish, lol! so a carpet may be another option...here's a pic of mine. it's not all inflamed like that now...this pic was taken the night i put it in, so it was still tryin to find it's place

I have a 6 inch ish female maroon and a little 2 inch boy, they both jumped into my 10 in GBTA in less than a hour when i got it,,,Though they are very hard on anemones, They killed the first one i tried because it was too small

Mined hosted with a Toadstool leather coral.
Weird but he did. One day I came home and he was in there and now loves going there

What lights do you have?
What corals do you have?
What size tank do you have?
I would strongly encourage you to think about the pros and cons of having an anemone in a reef tank. It can cause problems. And if you have a small tank or don't have the right lighting, this can be a problem too :(
