Maroon clown fish behavior?

I have a Maroon clown fish however I do not have anemone so he goes inside of my sunflower coral I don't know if thats bad or good for either of them

I wouldn't worry about your maroon clown... his behavior is typical. We don’t have anemones in our tank either… our maroon clown hosts in our hammer and bubble coral.
As far as your sunflower coral goes, I’m assuming you are talking about a goniopora… also known as a flower pot coral. As you may or may not be aware, gonioporas don’t usually live long in a home aquarium… they usually don’t last more than three months or so.
Here's a pic of a goniopora so you can compare it against your coral to see if that's what you have...

I have mine atleast a year now and is doing well
as well as my 2 anemones 1 which i have had alomst 2 years now and is about 18" in dia the other is 12" in dia
