quick ? i just saw my clown turn with his tail towards the glass and wag his tail against the sand and throwsand around. almost like he was throwing at me. i have heard of them spitting sand at people....is this the same thing? or does it mean something else? when he did it it only lasted 3-4 seconds..and every time in the same spot..

I had a very cantankerous maroon clown. She was one of my favorite fish and loved to shake her booty in anything! Sand, crushed coral, and esp. anenomies.

My LFS has a couple of nice size maroon clowns. They're both $50. Maybe i"ll put one of them on lay-away.

Totally normal....my clown is very dedicated to keeping its little part of the tank clean, moving rocks, algea, snail shells, or whatever gets in its space. Also keeping the CC stirred with its tail. They are quite the characters...thats why my GS Maroon is my favorite. Personality deluxe.
No worries....your clown sounds happy.
