I have one Maroon Clown in my 30 G tank..
He is so hardy and very nice looking fish..
I am thinking to put one more Maroon clown ..
but I worry about them to fight each other.
I read that Maroon is very aggressive to their own kind....
My maroon size is about 1.5 inch long..
should i get smaller one? or the same size one?
Thanks for your kind answer. :)

I wouldn't get another one period. Like you said, they can and will be aggressive to their own kind. You cannot mix clownfish. Sorry :(--Bob

Not always true. I have two maroon's in my tank. I got one to cycle it and two month's later I got another one. I bought a larger one the second time around. I wanted to pair them off and it actually worked. You can always try it and if your lfs is good and you tell them your situation they should offer up the fact that you can bring the one back to them if it doesn't work. But putting them together and having them fight isn't always true. Just get a bigger one and see what happens. Good luck

I agree with Doug. I had a big maroon clown, 3-4 inch. I have been waiting for a single maroon clown to come in at the lfs for months. Finally 1 week ago I got a call froom the lfs and they had 2 that did not pair up. They are maroon gold stripe. I bought the bigger one of the two. maybe an 1 1/2 at the most. Very cute!!!
I fed everybody when I put him in, he swam right up to her, kinda like "hey babe?" He is doing wonderful. No fights between them. The Damsil hit him once and the big girl came to the rescue. The flame hawk fish hit 3 times in a row. Has not touched him since. I guess he had to make sure the gold stripe clown knew he was above him. LOL
I would try it. Just my thought. Good luck...
