Anyone want a nice big maroon clownfish?!?!? lol Mine is driving me nuts because he always stirs up the sand with wiggling in it and then all the sand goes over my rockwork and corals. Is there any way that I can stop him from doing this? I mean I hate to get rid of him cuz I have had him from prolly over a year and a half now so. But I also really want some percula clownfish becuase I can have more than just one. What should I do?
Thanks,
Justin

Mine did the same thing all the time. My tank look horrible. A nice new shiney anemone fixed that problem. :cheer:

I dont think that I have enough light for an anemone though thats the problem. I have the current t-5 high output lights that give out I believe 216 total watts to my 75 gallon tank. I dont think an anemone would survive on that little light. Though I have thought about picking up another t-5 fixture to have a total of 432 watts on my tank.

i would think so,although some might disagree. my rose bta is the only one i have that likes light in my 210. it is right under one of the mh lights. the other three usually hide. by the way sign i wont be able to make it to ap today.

I have a six year old tomato clown that does the same thing.
When I think about a nice, level, pretty sand bed....without HER in it?
Nah, I'll fix the sand some other year! :happyfish

I have the same lighting and I have had an anenome for over 6 months now with no problem. My tank is a 90 gal. and the anenome is about half way up.

i dont think you would benefit from that really; i would put the money toward some double ended hqi halides. even if you added another fixture that would increase your watts per gallon, but i dont think that it would give you the intensity you would need for some corals, and if you dont want corals you have enough for the anemone so why spend the extra cash if you dont have too.

My maroon clown does the same thing. But I would never get rid of it as I love this fish to much.
If your lights are not quite strong enough you could always place the anemone higher up and hope it stays there.... Just a thought.
I don't have an anemone either due to lights, but my clown loves my hairy mushrooms, you might want to try a nice clump of them first.

I don't care about the sand thing, I will take the fish. where do you live , I can pay for shipping. I almost got one at the lfs but got a clark clownfish instead. We need to make sure he will get along with my other one. Mine is very mild never bothers anything. Email me ferrinvest@yahoo.com
