I bought two maroon clowns last weekend. They are eating fine. But the male (or atleast i think it will be) stays at one side of the tank. Swimming into the glass upward and downward. Is he going to keep doing this a while since he is stressed from the other clown.
when do they stop fighting? Afew weeks, months?
Thanks

Since your clowns are still pretty new they are still probably checking out their new tank. In a few days they will probably pair up, my clowns did the same thing.

When I first got my clown, it did this all the time. Actually, he still does occasionally. After a while, it will explore.

Don't worry, my maroon clownfish did the exact same thing for around a week. After a while it started ot swim around more, and now it hardly ever does it.

I've heard that maroons are agressive towards each other unless mated pairs. Were yours mated pairs?

They are both just babies.1.75 inch. small one 2 inch is i guess the female. I was told the female could get up to 6 inches and the male might get a little bigger than 2.

Yeah, my LFS has a pair of Maroons in their reef tank, and the female is like about 5 inches...its huge, it could probably eat the male if it wanted to!
