Maroon Clownfish and Damsels

Howdy Folks,
I have added the first two fish to my new 60 gallon FOWLR. A Maroon gold stripe about 3" and three stripe damsel about 2". The only other inhabitant is "Frosty" my 16" SFE. Everyone is well acclimated, but the damsel is pushing everyone around. I expected the Clown to be the Alha fish. I understood Maroons to be quite dominant. Will this change? If I wanted to add another Maroon, how would that change the dynamic? Thanks.

I have a maroon and a striped damsel and the maroon runs the damsels away. Damsels are one of the most aggressive fish you can get......well the black and whites and dominos any ways. You might just have a clown fish who is a wimp.

if u are going to get another maroon then get one half the size of the one u have or smaller. or else one will kill the other. if u get the smaller one they will mate up and might make babies. then the female witch is the bigger one will become very aggressive and wont let anything touch its new husband or the babies.
good luck choose wisely

Thanks Mr.Clownfish. I have decided to not add another Maroon. My Livestock is set at:
GSM
3 striped damsel
Canary Wrasse
Foxface
"Frosty" the SFE
The damsel has calmed down. Everyone is getting along very well. The damsel does still push around Frosty. It is hilarious to watch a three inch fish push/tail slap an eel back into its hole.

i had a maroon pretty large and he was bossed around by my domino damsel which is like a third of his size. i got him because he was supposedly a aggressive fish but those little damsels turn em to sissys
