Maroon Clowns

i just got a 2" maroon clown to try and see if he will live. all my other tank raised percs died after a week. i acclimated him well and a day later hes zooming around the top of the tank, almost doing laps. he hasnt gone into the rock work yet. ive been having some trouble keeping a stable temp. with him so i hope he makes it out ok.i have 65w pc lighting and would like a suggestion on an anemone for my lil guy. i dont want to go with a bubble tip anemone. i was thinking either a long tentacle anemone or haitan anemones? thanks for ur advice

ive heard negative things about hatian anemones id go with a LTA or BTA if you decide you want a BTA

Why not a bubble tip? My maroon loved it .

i like long tetacles more than the small stubby ones..
so i think if i get an anemone ill get a LTA, there cheaper too. 45$ at LFS

My maroon (gold stripped) has been very hardy Good luck

You do not have enough lights for an anemone. You'll need better lights, and you definitely need to get that temp stable.

if i feed him enough and put him at the top of tank im sure he will survive

Feeding is *not* a substitute for inadequate lighting.
