Do you often see a pair form of a white stripe and golden stripe or is it better to get two of the same.
It's better to get two of the same. I believe they are the same species technically, but getting the exact same type of clown will increase the chance of success.
I dont think it matters. I have a black misbar occelaris in with my picasso occelaris, and they get along fine. They arnt a bonded pair, but I think they will be eventually. All that is different between them is the color.

White stripe and gold stripe are the same species, just depends on where they were origonally collected. You can mix or match, makes no difference.
