Maroons and Oscelaris together.

I know they aren't supposed to co-exist, but I temporarily have to keep them together. I had some tank problems saturday and have to move my maroons into the DT in the living room which already had a pair of false percs. After a few minutes of picking they seemed to establish a pecking order and all is well. The question is how long can I keep them together? The false percs are at least twice the size of the maroons.

Try to divide the tank and keep them away from each other. You never know when the may turn on each other and then your down one clown.

As the maroons are more mature, when ever that is... They will become more aggressive and this is when you will start seeing issues. At best you have until they are as large or larger than the ocellaris.

i have a pair of maroons and a pair of black ocellaris together in a 125g
and they are doing fine.
they been together about 6-8mos.

could you put one in qt, or the sump.
They were in seperate tanks but a problem with one(mechanical) cause me to have to remove all the live stock. I will have the tank issues resolved in a few weeks when all the parts reach me to repair the pumps. If I have to I can put the maroons in the nano i just setup since it will be a seperate temporary solution.
