Marrons Breeding?

I have a pair of Maroon clownfish for about three months, they are allways together and get very aggressive when another fish seems to get to close to their space under a rock. I bought them very small and they still seem to be small about 1 1/2 to 2 inches, but the larger one seems to be getting a belly and I was wondering if they can mate at such a young age. Also if they do mate how do I protect there offspring from my other fish?
Thanks
Vic

Sounds like they are a pair and that the female is getting eggs. If they are getting territorial it is a sign that they may be about to breed.
If you want to try to raise the fry that hatch or keep the eggs, you should read Clownfishes by Joyce Wilkerson. Otherwise don't worry about protecting the fry.

Thanks, I would feel terrible if I let the fry get eaten by the other fish. I will read the book. And if all works out I'll be giving away some free marrons here.
Thanks

Wow, sounds like a lot of work for such a low survival rate. How do these fish breed in the wild? I thought there was a type of overhang I could put in the tank or set up a small tank just for them to grow. I am going to try to give this a shout tough, but don't know if I have enough time now since the process sounds pretty fast.
Thanks for all the great info
