mated clowns????

I bought 2 clowns at different times from the same petstore for $15 each...anyways i put them in my 55 for awhile...and they were buds...swam together almost the minute i got them...anyways i put them in a nano tank (i got a lion) ..anyways they were buds in the nano....and anyways the lion died so back in the 55 they went....still swimming together...dont leave eachothers side....now there back in the nano because my 55 busted...and im waiting for my 125 to cycle..... are my clowns mated?....cause they like to hangout alot....or is that normal clown behavior?

They'd be considered a pair, but not a mated pair yet. Only pairs that have mated are called mated pairs.

will they mate? they are going to go into a 125 reef tank... i would assume...but odds?

That is often referred to as a "Bonded Pair". If the environment is stress free and they are well fed with highly nutritious food then they have a really good chance of mating.

Bang ... Do you consider frozen mysis shrimp and cyclopeeze nutritious enough for them?

yes!!!!!!! and i got them for $15 each...well one for free my friend bought me one,..mwa haha!!!!! How much does a " bonded/mated" pair normally cost? ...but wouldn't stress etc...take in account with even a pair thats already mated?

Costs differ from species to species. Moving them from tank to tank will make them unwilling to mate, they need a consistent environment.

so you think since mine are buddy buddy now...in MY tank...they might mate for me someday?
there in a nano (10 gal) now...and will be going into a 125 reef in around 2 months

Yep. Some minced Scallop soaked in Cod Liver Oil won't hurt :joy:
