any tips on maturing a tank?

depending on the size & setup, 3 months to 6 months; use small cheap fish to help cycle it like some damsels; also depends on what you plan to have in it

D-chan,
In another post I saw that you will be working with a 20gal. tank. You will want to make sure the tank is fully cycled first. As per many other posts on this awesome BB, decide on your set-up first. Go with a dsb, and you can start your cycle with LR and/or a coctail shrimp from your local food store. In anywhere from 3-6 months you can add some livestock, some will say sooner and some will say later, it depends on your tank.
Ask alot of questions here for the people that post here are the best I have found for answers.

If you start with lots of live rock and a dsb your tank will mature much quicker.
