i think i'm gonna get a 1200 i heard that it's good and i have a 55g so i think the flow from the 400 is not enough.

I bought a Maxijet 400 for circulating my saltwater mixup/water change bucket and was very disappointed with the flow rate it is quite slow, should have gone with the 600.. BTW I have two 900's in my 55 and love them..

I agree, Maxi-jet 900 are the way to go, I have 3 in my 46 gal.

ya i bought a 400 - very little water movement i heard that maxi jet is a good brand so i want to stay with it i'll have to try the 900

very interesting point... I didnt realize the 1200's would be so much higher consumers of current... in "watts / gph" the 900's are a way better buy... thanks!!!
