Maxi Jet 900 or 1200

Ok i am getting new powerheads. I just have to make the decision on two 900 or two 1200 Maxi Jets. I know that the 1200's are not as efficient compared to the 900's, but with that asside which would you guys prefer for a 55 gal? I will be putting the Hydro FLo rotating water deflector on which ever one i get, as i have herd good things about them. I am ordering tonight so i need some input ASAP. Thanks! :thinking:
Oh p.s my return is 200 gph, so it would be a total of my return and the two maxi jets whichever ones idecide to get.

I have a softy tank and the 1200's blew my mushrooms, xenia and colt coral off the rocks. I now have 2 900's but I have tried every combo including 400 and 600's. If your gonna use one to mix salt water, want a spare, or one for the QT, then I second the above post and get a couple different ones for experimentation. One side of the tank may take the 1200 just fine but you might need less flow on the other. Just depends on your layout and what you want to keep.

I'd do the 900's. The few additional GPH's for the 1200's aren't worth the big difference in wattage. The 1200's need 20 watts. The 900's only use 8. I have two 1200's I'm going to replace with 900's as soon as I can find a good deal on some.
Just my own opinion of course.

Get 2 Seio 620...thats 1240 GPH plus you return. Divide that by 55 thats 22x per hour. I have 25x per hr in my tank right now and the fish and corals love it
