maxi jet rattling

I bought two new 600's last Sat. and one of them is constantly rattling? Does it need time or can I adjust anything?

What do you mean it rattles???? Do you hang it on the side of your tank with the hook or you used the suction cups to hold it in place??? If you don't feel right about your powerhead, I would suggest you don't put it in your tank and maybe you can go to your LFS and if they are good, they should allow you for an exchange.

I used the suction cups. The rattlin is internal...Sometimes it's quit and sometimes you have to turn the volume up on the tv. I guess I could try and exchange itbring it back...It's not quite a week old.

They should be silent, you could always open it up and see what you find.

Bring it back ...Maxi Jets are known for being QUIET.

Check to see if the impeller was bent in any way.

yeah check internally if you can...if you cant find the problem i would say try to send it back to either the manufacturer or the dealer....
