MAxi Pumps

I know this sounds a little strange but i'm just curious. Is there a way to quiet down the flow pumps on your tank. Meaning when I go to bed at need I hear the humming as if there rattling on the sides of the glass . But aboth of them have the suctions cups attached to the glass so I don't understand why it would do it. Basically I'm trying to sleep at night and the noise sucks.

Use ear plugs, drink some beers and shots, personally I have a wavemaking sound device next to my bed. It also does wind, rain, forest, etc. but I like the ocean.
Check your system to make sure everything is hooked up tiight.
