I recently changed skimmer from a seaclone 100 to a AquaC Remora pro with a Mag 3 Drive. My question is will the Maxijet 1200 left over from my Seaclone be too powerful for my 46 G bowfront. I want to use it for water circulatin. Please advise. :help:

no it wont be too powerful for a 46g. Its rated at 295gph. I have a 270gph PH on my 30 gallon along with two 110gph mini powerheads and 300gph from a return nozzle from my sump.

It shouldn't be, I use a maxi jet 1200 (also stolen from a defunct seaclone) in my 29 gallon. I have other maxi-jets in my other tank, so I had lots of spare intake skimmers and wave deflectors to put on it. If you don't have those, just make sure you have something to keep fish from getting sucked in. If you think the flow is too much for the particular area you want to put it, you can always use flexible tubing with holes in it to diffuse the outgoing water.
