may be a stupid question, but?

I have been reading on the forum for a month now trying to decide what kind of filtration system for my 125 gallon predrilled tank. I would like to do a refugium instead of a wet/dry filter. I already have a 29 gallon tank for it and I saw a place that sells the baffles cut to the size tank you want to use. I will be getting a quiet one 6000 pump. My question is this, I have to move in 2 weeks, but I can go ahead and set up the new tank as soon as I get the filter problem worked out. I would like to transport as much of the water out of my 55 gallon to the 125. But what do I need to put in the refugium to get everything to at least go ahead and start cycling fast for a couple of weeks before I have to move the water and the fish (lion, grouper, lobster)? Can I add some biowheel filters to the refugium to make it happen faster (already got 2 that Im not using) Or am I stuck with buying a wet dry filter? Any suggestions greatly appreciated, I just want to do what is best for the fish.

best for the fish is to be patient
get the 125 ready to go
then move
and slowly get the 55 into the 125 after your in your new place

Did you a plan for the 55? While your 125 is cycling you could get the 55 setup as a fuge/sump. Just a thinking out loud.

The fish are in the 55 right now cant turn it into a refuge until I can move the fish into the 125 and my 8 year old son who has a 30 gallon wants it for his fish ( should have never turned him on to saltwater he's crazy about it as I am) Maybe I'll just do the wet dry for now then add the refuge later and just use both. I really dont want to jepordize my fish. I've had them too long.
