Just thought you might like to see a pic of my Volitan Lionfish He's about 4 to 5 inches long right now and he's eating frozen krill and silversides as of yesterday.......really think he's neat!

Have you guys ever seen pics of the mimic octopus that hails from indonesia? I guess they flare all 8 arms out and change them to banded coloration and impersonate lionfish. i saw them on discovery channel one night and thought they were totally wild!

I've not seen the mimic, Jon, but just read somewhere that the Lionfish when they hang out in caves may mimic the feather starfish......here's a pic of one

I Saw the mimic octopus on disc. Holy crap it looked just like the lionfish..........I also remember it taking shape of a flounder.

Man does he have some girth to him. I saw that Octupus in an older Aquarium Fish magazine. They were really cool looking.

The mimic can also appear as a sea snake. Here's a pic I found on the net.........the top photo is not a snake....it's an octopus!
